PM Modi To Launch Women’s Health Campaigns; Lay Foundation Of PM MITRA Park In Madhya Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district on 17 September to unveil several flagship initiatives focused on women’s health, nutrition, and industrial development.

Among the major highlights is the foundation stone laying of the PM MITRA Park, which is being set up as one of India’s seven new integrated textile hubs.

The Prime Minister will also launch two nationwide campaigns, ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar’ (Healthy Women, Empowered Families) and the eighth ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’, underlining the government’s commitment to a healthier, empowered Bharat.

Largest Women’s Health Outreach in India

The government will organise over one lakh health camps between 17 September and 2 October, making it the largest women-centric health outreach programme ever held in India.

Healthcare teams will conduct daily camps at government health facilities, delivering preventive, promotive, and curative services directly at the community level.

The campaign will focus on screening for non-communicable diseases, anaemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease.

Healthcare workers will deliver services for maternal and child health, immunisation, mental health, nutrition, and menstrual hygiene. Authorities will mobilise medical specialists in gynaecology, dermatology, psychiatry, and paediatrics from both public and private hospitals.

Officials will promote blood donation drives through the e-Raktkosh portal and run awareness campaigns via the MyGov platform.

Enrolment support for Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA), PM-JAY, and Ayushman Vaya Vandana will be available at these camps.

Technological Support and Financial Aid

On this occasion, PM Modi will also initiate the direct transfer of funds under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, benefiting nearly 10 lakh women across the country.

He will launch the Suman Sakhi Chatbot, designed to provide accurate and timely information on maternal and child health, particularly for pregnant women in rural and remote areas.

As part of the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan, the Prime Minister will launch the Adi Seva Parv, a series of service-driven activities aimed at empowering tribal communities through health, education, sanitation, and skill development.

The Tribal Village Action Plan and Tribal Village Vision 2030 will help define long-term developmental goals.

Additionally, PM Modi will symbolically present a sapling to a women’s self-help group beneficiary under the ‘Ek Bagiya Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, encouraging the creation of over 10,000 ‘Maa Ki Bagiya’ gardens in the state to support women’s economic empowerment and environmental awareness.
