Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on October 28 to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several major projects across districts. According to the PMO, he will jointly inaugurate the Tata Aircraft Complex for manufacturing C-295 aircraft with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez at Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) in Vadodara at 10 am. Under the C-295 program, 40 out of 56 aircraft will be built in India, marking TASL’s first private sector Final Assembly Line (FAL) for military aircraft. Tata Advanced Systems, alongside public and private sector enterprises, will lead the project.
Following the Vadodara event, PM Modi will visit Amreli. He will inaugurate the Bharat Mata Sarovar in Dudhala and participate in a public ceremony, where he will launch development projects worth Rs 4,900 crore across Amreli and neighboring districts.
In Amreli, PM Modi will inaugurate road projects costing over Rs 2,800 crore, including upgrades to sections of NH 151, NH 151A, and NH 51. He will also dedicate the Bhuj-Nalia Rail Gauge Conversion Project, completed at a cost of Rs 1,100 crore, which includes major bridges and road crossings.
He will further launch water projects worth Rs 700 crore in Amreli, benefiting 67 lakh people across five districts. Among these is the Navada to Chavand bulk pipeline, supplying additional water to over 1,300 villages.
PM Modi will also lay the foundation for eco-tourism projects, including the Karli recharge reservoir in Mokarsagar, Porbandar, aimed at transforming it into a world-class sustainable eco-tourism site. Additionally, he will launch the second phase of the Pasvi Cluster Augmented Water Supply Scheme, set to benefit 95 villages in Bhavnagar district.
These projects span tourism, infrastructure, and public amenities, aiming to boost Gujarat’s socio-economic development.
