PM Modi To Hand Over Job Letters To 51,000 Youth At 20th Rozgar Mela

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth at the 20th Rozgar Mela on September 19. He will address the new appointees through video conferencing.

The recruits will attend the Rozgar Mela simultaneously at 45 locations across the country, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

The newly appointed candidates will join various government ministries and departments.

These include the Department of Revenue, the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Department of Financial Services, and the Ministry of Defence.

The Rozgar Mela reflects the government’s focus on creating employment opportunities for young people and increasing their participation in India’s development journey, the statement said.

With the 20th Rozgar Mela, around 12.75 lakh youth will receive appointment letters from government departments and organisations.

At the previous Rozgar Mela in May, PM Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth.

In his message to recruits, Prime Minister Modi said the world is interested in India’s youth and technological progress. He said India is building partnerships with countries worldwide to create opportunities for its youth in employment, confidence and global exposure.

Since October 2023, PM Modi has distributed around 12 lakh recruitment letters through the Rozgar Mela initiative, according to reports. Individual events have often distributed tens of thousands of appointment letters.

The initiative is among the largest direct government recruitment drives since Prime Minister Modi took office in 2014, according to the statement.
