PM Modi To Address NDA Parliamentary Party Amid Key Political Developments

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today address the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Parliamentary Party in what is being seen as a significant development during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament.

The meeting, taking place within the Parliament complex, marks the first such gathering of NDA leaders during this session.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has directed all its Members of Parliament, along with those from allied parties, to attend without fail, underscoring the significance of the meeting.

The meeting comes just two days before the nomination process opens for the Vice-Presidential election, slated to begin on 7 August.

With the NDA enjoying a comfortable majority in the electoral college, the selection of the Vice-Presidential candidate is likely to be straightforward.

However, the alliance plans to formally announce its nominee by 21 August — the final day for filing nominations, which coincides with the end of the Monsoon Session.

The Prime Minister will use his address to rally support for the alliance’s nominee and explain the strategic considerations behind the selection.

Operation Sindoor and National Security

Party leaders will honour PM Modi during the meeting for the success of Operation Sindoor, a recent counter-terrorism mission launched in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam.

The operation has drawn national attention and praise for its swift execution.

In his address, PM Modi will highlight the government’s broader national security agenda and reaffirm its zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.

The Monsoon Session has so far witnessed repeated disruptions, with Opposition parties staging walkouts and protests.

The Opposition accuses the Election Commission of conducting the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar in a politically motivated and biased manner that favours the ruling party.

PM Modi is likely to use the platform to strongly counter these allegations, reaffirm the government’s commitment to a fair electoral process, and reiterate the NDA’s priorities for the remainder of the session.

Beyond immediate political concerns, the Prime Minister will set the tone for the NDA’s legislative push by outlining key bills and reforms that remain on the agenda.

He aims to boost morale within the alliance and project a unified front in response to the increasingly combative atmosphere in Parliament.

The NDA meeting could prove pivotal in consolidating support and focus as the government navigates both internal and external challenges.
