PM Modi Speaks To Israeli PM Netanyahu; Discusses Regional Security

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a telephonic conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which both leaders discussed ways to further strengthen the India–Israel strategic partnership.

The talks focused on deepening bilateral cooperation and addressing regional security challenges.

Sharing details of the conversation, PM Modi said he conveyed New Year greetings to Prime Minister Netanyahu and the people of Israel. He noted that both sides reviewed avenues to enhance cooperation in the year ahead while reinforcing their long-standing partnership.

During the discussion, the two leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation in West Asia. They reaffirmed their resolve to combat terrorism with zero tolerance.

The talks underscored India–Israel alignment on security and regional stability.

The latest interaction follows a series of high-level engagements between the two countries.

On December 17, 2025, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met Prime Minister Netanyahu in Jerusalem and conveyed warm greetings from Prime Minister Modi.

The discussions covered enhanced cooperation across sectors such as technology, economy, skills and talent, connectivity, and security.

EAM Jaishankar also met Israeli President Isaac Herzog, where both sides reviewed the progress of the India–Israel strategic partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to its continued deepening.

India reiterated its support for lasting peace in the region.

On December 10, PM Modi spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about West Asia. Both leaders welcomed the steady progress in bilateral ties.

They reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation for mutual benefit. The leaders strongly condemned terrorism, the PMO said.

PM Modi backed efforts for long-term stability, including the Gaza Peace Plan.

The engagement reflects the strength of the India–Israel strategic partnership. Both nations aim to deepen ties through sustained dialogue and cooperation.
