During the interaction, the awardees shared their experiences in teaching. They also discussed innovative methods they use to make learning engaging, alongside their involvement in social work.
PM Modi emphasized the importance of the National Education Policy (NEP) and learning in one’s mother tongue. He encouraged teachers to teach local folklore in multiple languages, helping students develop multidisciplinary skills and appreciate India’s rich cultural diversity.
He also suggested organizing educational tours for students to explore the country’s diversity. “This will also boost tourism and give a fillip to the local economy,” he added.
The Prime Minister urged teachers to engage with students through social media and promote best practices that benefit everyone. Finally, he lauded teachers for their crucial role in preparing today’s youth for a “Viksit Bharat.”
