PM Modi Set To Visit Ajmer On 28 February Says Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ajmer on 28 February to dedicate and initiate development works amounting to Rs 23,500 crore in Rajasthan. The programme will feature both inaugurations and foundation stone ceremonies for a range of public projects.

As part of the event, the Prime Minister will distribute appointment letters to approximately 21,000 young beneficiaries under the Rozgar Utsav initiative. This move underlines the Centre’s continued focus on creating employment opportunities.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced the Prime Minister’s visit through a message on social media. He stated, “The Prime Minister’s presence will accelerate the pace of development in Rajasthan. This event will be held in Ajmer and will give new momentum to our vision of a developed state.”

Sharma remarked that the Prime Minister’s participation would energise Rajasthan’s vision of becoming a developed state. He characterised the projects as a significant developmental offering for the people of Rajasthan from Ajmer.

Administrative Arrangements Underway

Following Jaipur’s instructions, the Ajmer district administration has accelerated preparations for the large-scale event. Authorities expect a crowd of around two to three lakh attendees.

Officials also plan to erect two expansive domes to accommodate the audience and the central area. The Public Works Department is preparing to float tenders for the required infrastructure and logistical arrangements.

Planning discussions have covered parking management, drinking water provision, sanitation facilities, and the shifting of power lines. Orders have also been issued to refurbish the existing helipad ahead of the visit.

CM Sharma said, “I am proud to share that on February 28, the world’s most popular leader, the illustrious Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will present an unprecedented gift of development projects worth Rs 23,500 crore to the state from the sacred land of Ajmer.”

“Along with the foundation stone laying and inauguration of multiple projects, the dreams of 21,000 youths will be given new wings as appointment letters are distributed during the ‘Rozgar Utsav’,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi has travelled to Ajmer on multiple occasions in recent years, addressing public gatherings in 2018, 2023, and 2024, underscoring the district’s continued importance in Rajasthan’s political and developmental landscape.
