PM Modi Pays Tribute To RSS Founders; Lays Foundation Stones For Key Projects In Nagpur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Nagpur’s Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir on Sunday, where he paid floral tributes at the memorials of RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and the second RSS Chief MS Golwalkar.

Accompanied by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, this visit marks the first time a sitting Prime Minister has visited the RSS headquarters in Nagpur, making it a historic occasion.

The Prime Minister’s note, written after the tribute, praised the values upheld by the RSS and expressed how the Smruti Mandir serves as an inspiration for service to the nation.

A Historic Tribute To RSS Founders

PM Modi wrote a heartfelt tribute, stating, “My heartfelt salutations to the most revered Dr Hedgewar and revered Guruji. I am overwhelmed to visit this Smriti Mandir, which cherishes their memories. This place dedicated to the values of Indian culture, nationalism, and organization inspires us to move forward in the service of the nation.”

This visit marked a significant moment in history, as it is the first time a sitting Prime Minister has visited the Reshimbagh-based RSS headquarters in Nagpur.

The occasion highlighted the Prime Minister’s deep respect for the values promoted by the RSS and its founders.

Moreover, in his note, PM Modi praised the tireless efforts of RSS volunteers, who continue to serve the nation selflessly.

This tribute not only emphasized the contributions of the RSS to India’s growth but also underscored the importance of unity and dedication in the pursuit of national development.

He emphasized the importance of their contributions and expressed his hopes that their dedication would further strengthen and enhance the glory of Mother Bharati.

Laying Foundation Stones For Development In Nagpur

Following his tribute, PM Modi focused on furthering infrastructure and healthcare development in Nagpur.

He laid the foundation stone for the Madhav Netralaya Premium Centre, a new extension to the Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute and Research Centre.

The new facility will include 250 beds, 14 outpatient departments, and 14 modular operation theatres, aiming to provide world-class eye care to the region.

In addition to this, PM Modi inaugurated a loitering munition testing range and an airstrip for Unarmed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) at Solar Defence and Aerospace Limited’s ammunition facility.

This step aims to strengthen India’s defence capabilities and contribute to the growth of the aerospace sector.

Future Development Plans For Chhattisgarh

After his visit to Nagpur, PM Modi will head to Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur to lay the foundation for multiple development projects across several sectors, including power, oil and gas, roads, and education.

These projects are part of a broader push to boost the region’s infrastructure, including energy and transportation networks.

Strengthening Maharashtra’s Infrastructure

PM Modi’s visit to Nagpur underscores his commitment to infrastructure development across India.

In addition to paying tributes at the Dr Hedgewar Smruti Mandir, the Prime Minister’s trip highlights the government’s strategic focus on healthcare, energy, and defence industries, ensuring that these initiatives contribute to the region’s socio-economic growth.

Furthermore, his visit reflects a deep respect for India’s cultural and nationalist values.

By connecting his tribute to the RSS founders with his emphasis on national development, the Prime Minister reinforced the importance of integrating India’s rich cultural heritage with modern infrastructure projects, making them key pillars of progress for the nation.

His subsequent foundation stone-laying ceremonies for key projects in the region demonstrate his government’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure, healthcare, and defense sectors, all while fostering national pride and service to the country.
