PM Modi Launches ₹7,217 Cr Projects In Motihari; Unveils Job Scheme For Bihar Youth

PM Narendra Modi, during his visit to Bihar on Friday, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹7,217 crore at Gandhi Maidan in Motihari, East Champaran.

Addressing a massive public rally, he emphasised the Centre’s commitment to boosting infrastructure and employment in the state.

Incentive Scheme for First-Time Employees Announced

In a major move aimed at promoting youth employment, PM Modi announced a new central scheme that offers ₹15,000 to every individual who secures a job in the private sector for the first time. The scheme will roll out on August 1, backed by a ₹1 lakh crore government allocation.

“New employment for new youth. The youth of Bihar will benefit greatly from this,” PM Modi said, underlining the importance of job creation for Bihar’s development.

Calling on the eastern states to lead India’s development, the Prime Minister said Bihar has enormous untapped potential. He reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to supporting Bihar in its development journey.

“Our resolution is a developed Bihar and employment for every youth. Opportunities must be created within the state itself. That’s why rapid progress has been made through large-scale recruitment drives, with the Centre working alongside the Bihar government,” he stated.

PM Modi flagged off four Amrit Bharat trains, boosting regional rail connectivity.

Criticism of RJD-Congress Rule

Taking aim at the previous RJD-Congress governments in Bihar, PM Modi accused them of widespread corruption and neglect of the poor. He said RJD and Congress looted funds meant for the poor, but Bihar defied the odds.

The Prime Minister contrasted past hardships with present-day progress, citing improvements in financial inclusion and housing.

“Earlier, people feared painting their houses, or women had to hide money because they lacked access to banks. He said crores of Jan Dhan accounts have empowered the poor and restored their dignity.

PM Modi urged Bihar’s youth to support ongoing development and welfare efforts.
