PM Modi Honors Women’s Achievements; Hands Over Social Media Accounts On Women’s Day

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the strength and contributions of women in celebration of International Women’s Day.

PM Modi shared on social media that women from various fields would take over his social media platforms, highlighting their accomplishments in celebration of the occasion.

“We bow to our Nari Shakti on #WomensDay! Our Government has always worked for empowering women, reflecting in our schemes and programmes. Today, as promised, my social media properties will taken over by women who are making a mark in diverse fields!” the Prime Minister posted on X.

On 23 February, PM Modi had revealed that on 8 March, he would hand over his X and Instagram accounts to a selected group of inspiring women, allowing them to share their experiences and contributions with the nation.

Mann Ki Baat Address Highlights Women’s Day Initiative

During the 119th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the Prime Minister reiterated this initiative, stating that these accomplished women would use his platforms to discuss their journeys, challenges, and successes.

“This time, on Women’s Day, I will take an initiative dedicated to empowering women. On this special occasion, I am going to hand over my social media accounts like X and Instagram, to a few inspiring women in our country for one day. Such women have achieved success in different fields, have innovated, and made a distinct mark for themselves in different fields. On 8 March, they will share their work and experiences with the countrymen,” PM Modi noted.

Additionally, the Prime Minister emphasized, “The platform may be mine, but their experiences, challenges and achievements will be discussed there.”

PM Modi also invited women to participate in the initiative via the NAMO App, encouraging them to use this opportunity to share their messages with a global audience.

“If you want this opportunity to be yours, then through the special forum created on the NAMO App, become a part of this experiment and spread your message to the whole world through my X and Instagram accounts. So on this women’s day, let us celebrate and respect the indomitable power of women,” the Prime Minister asserted.
