The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has enlisted its top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, to campaign for the Maharashtra Assembly elections on November 20. Party leaders from Maharashtra and other states will address over 170 rallies, launching their campaign from November 5, post-Diwali.
Prime Minister Modi is expected to hold 10-13 rallies between November 7 and 14, covering constituencies with BJP and allied candidates. Amit Shah will conduct 20 rallies, following recent strategy meetings with state leaders. Chief Minister Adityanath, highly sought-after by BJP and allies, is scheduled for at least 15 rallies, while Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis plan to address 40 and 50 rallies, respectively.
During previous visits, PM Modi urged voters to support the pro-development MahaYuti alliance, opposing the “anti-growth” Maha Vikas Aghadi. The state poll management committee, led by Raosaheb Danve, is finalizing the campaign schedule. Star campaigners from other BJP-led states, including Goa, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, will also rally in support of the party’s Maharashtra candidates.
