Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended warm birthday greetings to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, who turned 68.
Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi further acknowledged Gadkari’s significant contributions to strengthening India’s infrastructure.
“Birthday wishes to Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari Ji, who is making notable contributions towards upgrading critical infrastructure in India. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life,” wrote PM Modi.
Gadkari has earned recognition for spearheading key national projects, including highways, expressways, and green transport corridors, significantly enhancing road connectivity across India.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also posted his message on X, “Warm wishes to my cabinet colleague Nitin Gadkari on his birthday. I pray for your continued good health and long life to keep serving the nation.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh applauded Gadkari’s innovative and delivery-oriented approach, further stating,
“Warm wishes to Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, on his birthday. Known for his innovative thinking and result-oriented approach, he has played a vital role in strengthening India’s infrastructure. Wishing him good health and continued success in his service to the nation.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, “Heartiest congratulations to senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on his birthday! I pray to Lord Shri Siddhivinayak and Lord Shri Ganesha for your prosperous, long, and healthy life.”
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also extended wishes, stating, “Heartiest birthday greetings to the our leader who is dedicated to shaping the infra progress of New India, Hon’ble Union Minister Nitin Gadkari ji! Wishing you a long life and good health!”
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde echoed the sentiment:
“Heartiest birthday wishes to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. May you live a healthy and prosperous life, I pray to Mother Jagdambe for your well-being.”
Born on 27 May 1957 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, Gadkari initially began his political career through student organisations like the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad
He later took on leadership roles in the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha before contesting and winning the Nagpur Lok Sabha seat in 2014.
Over the years, now serving his third term as Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari has consistently fast-tracked infrastructure development and driven policy innovation, thereby making a lasting impact on the nation’s transport ecosystem.
