Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended greetings to the nation on the sixth day of Chaitra Navratri, which is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani.
In a post on a social media platform, the Prime Minister offered prayers to the goddess and invoked her blessings for strength and confidence among devotees.
Taking to X, PM Modi posted, “Salutations to Mother Katyayani! May the grace of the divine Mother, the presiding deity of divinity and valour, infuse all her devotees with immense strength and self-confidence.”
“She whose hand shines with the sword Chandrahāsa, who rides the noble tiger, may Goddess Katyayani, the slayer of demons, grant auspicious blessings,” the post further read.
The Prime Minister also shared a devotional note on the significance of worshipping the Divine Mother, highlighting its spiritual impact on the mind and inner resolve.
“Worship of Mother Jagadamba fills the mind with infinite energy and inner strength. The divine radiance of Goddess Mother illuminates the heart with divine consciousness,” he further posted on X.
Devotees observe Chaitra Navratri over nine days to honour the nine forms of Goddess Durga, with each day carrying distinct spiritual significance.
The sixth day venerates Goddess Katyayani, revered as a symbol of courage, righteousness and the destruction of evil.
Devotees across the country mark the occasion with prayers, fasting and rituals, seeking blessings for strength, protection and well-being.
