Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his warm wishes to the nation on Monday in celebration of Eid-ul-Adha, underscoring the significance of unity and harmony in society.
He expressed his sentiments through a message shared on social media platform X, extending heartfelt greetings to mark the occasion.
In his post, PM Modi stated, “Greetings on Eid-ul-Adha! May this special occasion further cement the bonds of harmony and togetherness in our society. May everyone be happy and healthy.”
Additionally, Prime Minister Modi extended his felicitations to Mohamed Muizzu, the President of Maldives, despite recent strains in bilateral relations since November last year.
The Indian High Commission in Maldives acknowledged this gesture, highlighting PM Modi’s Eid greetings in a press release.
“On the auspicious occasion of Eid Al-Adha, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India @NarendraModi extended warm greetings to His Excellency President of Maldives Dr. @MMuizzu, the Government & the people of the Republic of Maldives,” the press release announced on X.
The statement further elaborated on the Prime Minister’s message, emphasizing the festival’s core values of sacrifice, compassion, and brotherhood, which are instrumental in fostering a peaceful and inclusive global community.
