On his two-day visit to Bihar on Friday, PM Narendra Modi reaffirmed that Operation Sindoor is not over and warned that every act of terror will face a strong and decisive response from India’s armed forces.
Addressing a large public gathering, PM Modi invoked a spirit of national resolve against terrorism, Maoism, and social injustice.
Referring to the recent deadly terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam that killed 25 tourists and a resident, the PM reiterated his government’s firm commitment to retaliate.
“From the land of Bihar, I promised to raze the masterminds and hideouts of terror to the ground. Today, I say our forces have punished them beyond imagination,” he declared.
PM Modi praised the success of Operation Sindoor, describing it as a clear demonstration of the courage and power of the Indian armed forces.
The Prime Minister honoured BSF Sub-Inspector Imtiaz, a brave soldier from Bihar who sacrificed his life on May 10.
“We destroyed Pakistani airbases and terror hideouts in minutes. The Indian forces brought the terrorists, who thought they were safe under Pakistan’s protection, to their knees,” the PM added.
He warned that Operation Sindoor was just one arrow in India’s quiver and asserted that India’s fight against terrorism is far from over.
Highlighting the government’s success against Maoist insurgency, PM Modi noted a dramatic reduction in Maoist-affected districts from over 125 in 2014 to just 18 today.
He criticised earlier governments for neglecting these regions, leaving people without basic amenities.
“Now, roads, mobile towers, schools, and jobs are reaching these villages. The end of Maoist violence is near,” the Prime Minister stated.
Without naming leaders, PM Modi sharply attacked the RJD and Congress, accusing them of betraying Bihar’s poor in the name of social justice.
“Many poor people had to leave Bihar because of their rule. Now they lecture on social justice only to save their existence,” he said.
PM Modi said past regimes ignored Dalits, but the NDA brought real social justice with full essential services.
The PM inaugurated Patna airport’s new terminal, fulfilling a long-standing demand.
The Rs 1,400 crore terminal increases the airport’s annual passenger capacity to 1 crore.
He laid the foundation stone for the 116-acre Bihta Airport, boosting Bihar’s infrastructure.
The Prime Minister announced Bihar’s Makhana Board and Food Processing Institute to aid farmers and boost the agro-industry.
