PM Modi Criticizes INDIA Bloc’s Approach During Dwarka Expressway Inauguration

In Gurugram, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Haryana segment of the Dwarka Expressway, taking the opportunity to criticize the opposition INDIA bloc. He accused the Congress-led alliance of harboring a solely negative outlook towards development projects.

“The Congress and its haughty coalition partners are the primary dissenters against the extensive development endeavors worth crores underway across the nation. They seem restless, unable to digest the progress. Their rhetoric suggests that the monumental projects initiated during my tenure are solely driven by electoral motives. Despite a decade of transformative changes, the opposition’s perspective remains fixed in negativity,” remarked PM Modi during the event.

With the Lok Sabha elections anticipated in April-May, where PM Modi seeks a third consecutive term, he has embarked on a series of project inaugurations nationwide. Meanwhile, the INDIA coalition, comprising over two dozen opposition parties, including the Congress, has united with the aim of thwarting the BJP’s bid for a third term at the Centre.

Dwarka Expressway

The Haryana segment of the Dwarka Expressway spans 19 kilometers and has been completed at an approximate cost of ₹4100 crores. It is divided into two sections: the first covers a stretch of 19.2 kilometers from the Delhi-Haryana border to Basai Rail-Over-Bridge (ROB), while the second extends over 8.7 kilometers from Basai ROB to Kheri Daula.

This expressway will facilitate direct connectivity between Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport and the Gurugram Bypass, thereby enhancing traffic efficiency and alleviating congestion on National Highway (NH)-48 between the two cities.
