PM Modi Criticizes Congress At Hisar Rally; Urges Voters To Support BJP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a fierce critique of the Congress party during an election rally in Hisar, Haryana, asserting that the party prioritizes its political ambitions over public welfare.

This marked PM Modi’s third campaign event in the crucial state as the BJP prepares for the upcoming elections.

In his address, PM Modi labeled Congress as the most ‘dishonest and deceitful’ political entity, alleging that the party has consistently resorted to a ‘barrage of lies’ to gain electoral favor.

Key Takeaways

PM Modi claimed that Congress is willing to ‘stoop to any level’ to win over voters, only to later “disown” them once in power.

Referencing the current Sukhwinder Sukhu-led government in Himachal Pradesh, PM Modi accused Congress of failing to fulfill the promises made during its campaign, stating, “After rising to power, it has betrayed the people of the state. It hasn’t fulfilled any poll promises. Today, the debt-laden Himachal government is finding it difficult to even shell out employees’ salary and Dearness Allowances.”

PM Modi further highlighted internal conflicts within the Haryana Congress, suggesting that party members are more focused on vying for power than addressing public concerns.

“Wherever there is Congress, there is no stability. A party which can’t keep its flock together, how can it keep the state together,” PM remarked.

In a pointed reference to the Gandhi family, PM Modi criticized what he termed the Congress ‘Shahi Parivar’, noting that even loyal state leaders are now questioning the party’s top leadership.

Encouraging residents to support the BJP, PM Modi emphasized the vision of a ‘non-stop Haryana’ under BJP governance.

“Haryana has made up its mind to give up its mandate to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for a record third time,” he declared, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.

This rally comes at a critical juncture for the BJP, with party officials indicating that PM Modi’s campaign efforts in Hisar could significantly influence at least 23 adjacent constituencies.

The Hisar district has gained additional attention following the entry of Savitri Jindal, India’s richest woman, as an Independent candidate for the Assembly seat, adding further intrigue to the electoral landscape.
