PM Modi underscored that democracy and technology together can ensure the welfare of humanity. He stressed India’s ability to become a trusted partner in the semiconductor sector by creating a diversified supply chain. He also pointed out the government’s focus on developing skilled talent to support the industry and assured leaders that the policy regime would remain stable and predictable.
CEOs from major semiconductor firms praised India’s growing role in the industry. They noted that the “centre of gravity” of the global semiconductor industry is shifting towards India. They expressed confidence in India’s business environment, stating that the current opportunities in the country are unprecedented. Leaders from companies like Micron, NXP, and Infineon highlighted India’s potential to become a global semiconductor powerhouse.
The roundtable included executives from several top semiconductor firms and academic experts from Stanford University and IIT Bhubaneswar.
