PM Modi Chairs Economic Advisory Council Meeting On Growth And Global Challenges

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting with members of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council (EAC) to deliberate on strategies aimed at maintaining India’s economic growth amid an increasingly uncertain global environment.

The meeting provided a platform for experts and policymakers to exchange views on strengthening the country’s economic resilience and identifying new opportunities for long-term development.

During the discussions, participants explored a range of policy measures designed to accelerate economic expansion and enhance India’s competitiveness.

The council also examined potential reforms intended to improve both ease of living and ease of doing business. These initiatives focused on creating a more efficient environment for citizens, entrepreneurs, and investors while supporting sustainable growth.

The Prime Minister and council members reviewed ways to streamline governance processes further, encourage innovation, and strengthen economic foundations in key sectors.

A significant portion of the meeting focused on developments in the international landscape and their possible implications for India.

Members of the advisory body shared their assessments of ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia and evaluated how the conflict could affect global markets, trade flows, and economic stability.

The discussion also considered potential consequences for energy prices, supply chains, and broader economic activity across different regions of the world.

The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to proactive economic planning and informed decision-making amid global volatility.

By engaging with leading economic experts, the Prime Minister sought insights that could help India navigate external challenges while sustaining growth and improving living standards.

The deliberations reflected a continued emphasis on balancing economic reforms with long-term development goals, ensuring that India remains well-positioned to capitalise on emerging opportunities despite evolving global circumstances.
