The NDA-BJP alliance, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde group), and NCP’s Ajit Pawar faction will form Maharashtra’s new government. The Backward Muslim Samaj Athan Samiti Sangh played a key role in mobilizing backward Muslim votes for BJP candidates.
Alhaji Muhammad Irfan Ahmed, head of the Samiti, congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, and other leaders. He credited the victory to the Samiti’s appeal, urging backward Muslims to vote for BJP to ensure progress in Maharashtra.
The Samiti held meetings during the elections, asking backward Muslims to back BJP. Ahmed said Modi’s leadership inspired trust across communities. This appeal brought significant support, helping BJP secure a strong mandate.
Haji Haider Azam, BJP’s Maharashtra in-charge for backward Muslims, and Sangh President Ehsan Abbasi thanked voters. They pointed to BJP’s focus on inclusive development as a reason for the support.
Ahmed, a former member of the Central Waqf Council, praised government schemes benefiting all communities. He called the win proof of trust in Modi’s vision. The Samiti’s campaign, he said, helped mobilize backward Muslim voters.
