The Pasmanda Muslim Samaj Utthan Samiti Sangh (Registered) has declared its support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. The nationalist organization has urged Pasmanda Muslims, who make up 70% of the Muslim population in Delhi, to vote for BJP candidates across all constituencies.
At a meeting attended by representatives of the Pasmanda Muslim community, the committee officially announced its endorsement of the BJP. The organization handed over a written letter of support to BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva and former state president Satish Upadhyay. The committee emphasized that a “double-engine government” would accelerate Delhi’s development.

Irfan Ahmed, a key representative, appealed to the Pasmanda Muslim community to vote for BJP. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and mission need to be strengthened. Under his leadership, India is gaining global recognition. BJP follows the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,’ ensuring inclusive growth,” he stated.
During a press conference, Irfan Ahmed and National President Ahsan Abbasi formally handed over the letter of support to BJP candidate Satish Upadhyay from Malviya Nagar. They pledged to mobilize Pasmanda Muslim voters in all 70 constituencies, conducting door-to-door campaigns to ensure BJP’s victory.
Ahmed criticized the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) governance over the last 11 years, calling it a failure. “The Kejriwal government has done nothing for Delhi’s welfare. Their false promises have left the city in distress. The Pasmanda Muslim community has now decided to support BJP, as it has delivered results in states like Uttar Pradesh and Haryana,” he asserted.
Several Pasmanda Muslim intellectuals, including Delhi BJP leader Haji Mohammad Iqbal and Vice President Haji Kallu Khan, attended the event. They reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring BJP’s success in Delhi.
