‘Now It Is The Rule Of The Poor, Not Royal Heirs’, Says Rohit Singh As Yuva Chetna Roars In Ballia; 10,000 Brave The Cold

A lively atmosphere was witnessed at Maldepur Mod in Ballia on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, where a Makar Sankranti Milan Samaroh was organised under the banner of Yuva Chetna.

The large turnout and visible enthusiasm among workers highlighted the organisation’s growing presence in the district.

The programme began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp by Rohit Kumar Singh, National Convenor of Yuva Chetna.

Supporters welcomed him with a 51-kilogram garland of flowers, which became a major point of discussion at the event.

Bhojpuri singer Sunny Pandey also performed, entertaining the crowd and adding to the festive mood.

Addressing the gathering, Rohit Singh strongly criticised opposition parties.

Referring to Babasaheb Dr BR Ambedkar, he said the Constitution ensured that power in a democracy comes through the people’s vote rather than heredity. He alleged that after Independence, parties such as the Congress and the Samajwadi Party turned democracy into dynastic rule and exploited the poor.

“Yuva Chetna stands against these ‘royal heirs’ and with the hardworking masses,” Singh said, accusing both parties of being anti-poor and anti-backwards classes.

Rohit Kumar Singh described his personal bond with Ballia, calling it similar to a maternal-aunt relationship. He said his aim was not to seek political office but to work towards improving the lives of the poor who have remained neglected for years.

Singh praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing him as a leader working for the welfare of the poor, and said that the rule of law had strengthened in Uttar Pradesh since 2017.

Calling himself a descendant of veteran socialist leader Raj Narain, he pledged to continue fighting for the rights of the weaker sections.

Massive Turnout Despite Cold Weather

Despite the cold weather, more than 10,000 people attended the programme.

Through the event, Yuva Chetna reiterated its commitment to equality and social justice, with organisers saying the gathering reflected growing support among youth and backward communities.
