MG & G Area of Indian Army in association with ‘Fitistan – Ek Fit Bharat’ is organising ‘ONGC Mumbai Kargil Soldierathon’. The event is to take place on Sunday 28th July at Military Station Colaba, Mumbai. Chairman, CMD and Editor in Chief of Bharat Express news channel Upendra Rai will be participating in the event. This historic event is to mark the 25th anniversary of India’s victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War.
The ‘ONGC Mumbai Kargil Soldierthon’ will start at 6 am. Former Indian Army Chief and Soldierthon patron General VK Singh along with CMD Upendra Rai will flag off the 10 km and 5 km races.

The event honours the valour, sacrifice and heroism of the 527 Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War. The event also honours the soldiers who fought valiantly. With an expected participation of around 7,000 runners, the event will remember our heroes.
Major Dr. Surendra Poonia, VSM (Ex-Special Forces) and Shilpa Bhagat (2013 Mrs India World) founded the ‘Fitistan’. The community intiative intends to spread awareness about staying fit. Fitistan aims to become the largest community of Indians who are physically and mentally fit.
In memory of the martyrs of Kargil, a fitness challenge was launched by ‘Fitistan Ek Fit Bharat’ in collaboration with Bharat Express News Network in early May.
