As part of the preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025, authorities have introduced a cutting-edge multi-disaster response vehicle to enhance safety and emergency management during the event.
The vehicle is equipped with advanced technology aimed at ensuring the safety of millions of devotees attending the spiritual gathering.
The state-of-the-art vehicle includes a victim location camera and a range of tools designed for efficient disaster response.
Pramod Sharma, the Nodal Officer and Chief Fire Officer for the Maha Kumbh, stated that the vehicle handles a wide variety of emergencies, from natural disasters to accidents.
Key features of the vehicle include a lifting bag with a capacity of 10 to 20 tonnes, which can rescue individuals trapped under debris, and specialized machinery capable of lifting and moving heavy objects up to 1.5 tonnes.
Additionally, the vehicle has tools for cutting through strong debris and spreading materials during emergencies.
One of the standout features is the victim location camera, which helps locate individuals trapped in collapsed structures.
An onboard generator ensures all equipment operates smoothly, even in challenging conditions.
The vehicle stocks essential safety gear, including life jackets, life rings, and life buoys, to protect rescue personnel. It also features a temperature-measuring device for accurate readings during fire-related incidents.
Pramod Sharma highlighted that the vehicle’s deployment will be a vital asset for managing potential emergencies during Maha Kumbh 2025, as well as supporting other disaster management operations.
