Mysuru, Aug 28: A police complaint accuses Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi, and Congress spokesperson M. Laxman of fabricating a key document in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case. Snehamayi Krishna, a petitioner against CM Siddaramaiah, filed the complaint at Laxmipuram police station in Mysuru.
Krishna claims that Parvathi and Laxman conspired to replace the original document with a new one. He states that Parvathi submitted the original document on June 23, 2014, demanding land in the Vijayanagara layout. Krishna alleges that they destroyed this document and inserted a new one into the MUDA file.
Krishna accuses Parvathi and Laxman of creating and circulating a video to support the fabricated document. He identifies nine major differences between the document in the video and the one he holds. Krishna also highlights discrepancies in Parvathi’s signatures on the two documents.
“They destroyed the original document to hide that CM’s wife demanded land in Vijayanagara layout,” Krishna says.
CM Siddaramaiah denies the fabrication claims. He shared a video on social media platform X on Monday, disputing the accusations. “The video shows what is under the white ink. My wife requested alternative land in Devanur 3rd Stage or another MUDA-developed area,” Siddaramaiah says.
He dismisses BJP and JD-S leaders’ claims, stating, “Only four or five words are covered with white ink, but they act as if it’s a grave crime.” The Karnataka High Court will hear CM Siddaramaiah’s writ petition against Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot’s prosecution order on Thursday.
