Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday and discussed the state’s development, investment plans and welfare programmes.
Yadav also invited PM Modi to attend the Global Investors Summit 2027, which Madhya Pradesh plans to host as part of its efforts to attract investment and expand industrial activity.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister apprised the Prime Minister of progress under various state schemes and discussed issues related to Madhya Pradesh.
He also highlighted initiatives concerning farmers and agriculture, including programmes undertaken during ‘Kisan Kalyan Varsh 2026’, the Balram Krishi Mahotsav and the Sandipani Vidyalayas.
Yadav further shared details of the state’s Sugam Parivahan initiative with PM Modi.
The proposed Global Investors Summit is part of Madhya Pradesh’s wider efforts to position the state as an investment and industrial destination.
The state has recently pursued investment in sectors including telecommunications, with India’s first integrated Telecom Manufacturing Zone being developed in Gwalior.
Recent investor engagements have generated commitments from companies for the project.
During his Delhi visit, Yadav also met Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Paatil to discuss the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Madhya Pradesh.
The discussions focused on speeding up project execution and addressing issues linked to the mission.
Yadav also sought greater financial allocation for the state under Jal Jeevan Mission-2.0.
The Chief Minister’s meetings with Union ministers form part of his ongoing discussions on state development programmes and projects requiring Central support.
