Nigam, played a pivotal role in the 1942 Quit India Movement as the District Magistrate in Ballia. It was during these crucial moments in history that India briefly tasted independence.

Dr. Darbari shared her motivation for the project, stating that her grandfather, J.E. Nigam, had personally witnessed the British atrocities from a young age due to his father’s profession as a lawyer. He keenly observed the discrimination against the Indian people within the court system.

Furthermore, Dr. Darbari has made a heartfelt appeal to the public, encouraging them to not only read her book but also participate in auditions for the upcoming film. She emphasized that the film’s narrative will revolve around the historic event of India’s first flag being hoisted at the District Magistrate and Collector’s office in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, on August 9, 1942.
