A destructive fire erupted on Thursday in an apartment located within the 16th Avenue society of Gaur City in Greater Noida West. Firefighters have been mobilized to the scene, working diligently to extinguish the flames that originated on the second floor of the residential complex.
Disturbing visuals captured thick black smoke billowing from the building, prompting residents to hastily evacuate to safety. An Aaj Tak report suggests that several individuals may be trapped inside the affected flats. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the potential extent of damage and injuries.
In a collaborative effort, firefighters from neighboring areas have been enlisted to provide support in tackling the blaze, as reported by Hindustan Times.

Coincidentally, on Wednesday, a fire also erupted in Nawroj Hill Society in the Pali Hill area of Bandra West, Mumbai. Notably, Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez resides in the same building. The fire, believed to have started in a kitchen on the 13th floor, affected the residential building on Nargis Dutt Road around 8 PM, according to statements from local officials quoted by PTI.
