Maha Kumbh 2025: Mahaprasad Service Enhances Ganga Sevadoots’ Experience

At Maha Kumbh 2025, Ganga Sevadoots are not only working tirelessly to preserve the purity of Mother Ganga but are also spreading awareness about cleanliness to the public. Their dedication ensures that this grand festival remains not only spectacular but also pristine and sacred.

As soon as devotees offer flowers during worship on the ghats, Ganga Sevadoots spring into action, immediately removing the offerings and cleaning the river. To maintain cleanliness along the Ganga and Yamuna, approximately 1,500 Ganga Sevadoots have been deployed across the ghats in all sectors.

These volunteers have undergone thorough training by the Mela administration to ensure they are fully prepared for their duties. On the first day of the Maha Kumbh, all Ganga Sevadoots were assigned their tasks, making sure the rivers remain clean and pure for the thousands of pilgrims.

Mahaprasad Service Becomes A Boon For Ganga Sevadoots

In addition to their essential work, Ganga Sevadoots also benefit from the Mahaprasad service, which is provided to devotees by the Adani Group and ISKCON. Every day, lakhs of devotees enjoy this free service. For Ganga Sevadoots, Mahaprasad is a true blessing.

After fulfilling their duties, they visit the Adani-ISKCON Sector-19 kitchen to receive prasad before heading back to the ghats. This service provides much-needed relief, allowing them to carry out their responsibilities more easily.

The prasad is prepared following sattvik principles and strict hygiene standards, with a variety of dishes served daily. Thousands of volunteers help distribute Mahaprasad, ensuring that devotees can also serve others after receiving their prasad.

Scout And Guide Volunteers Contribute To Mahakumbh Efforts

In addition to the Ganga Sevadoots, young volunteers from the Scout and Guide movement have been instrumental in maintaining order at the Maha Kumbh.

Both men and women from various regions, including Mirzapur and Varanasi, have been working diligently on the ghats as part of voluntary service. The Scout and Guide team, which has been present since January 9, includes 91 individuals who have received proper training.

Over the course of 45 days, a total of 10,200 Scouts and Guides will contribute their services to the event, with 250 volunteers arriving each week. Arrangements for their accommodation and meals have been made in Sector 6 by the administration.

Comprehensive Sanitation Measures For Devotees

This year, the administration has taken extensive measures to ensure cleanliness at Maha Kumbh, especially when it comes to toilet facilities. A staggering 1.5 lakh toilets and urinals will be installed across the fair area and parking zones.

The biggest challenge, however, lies in maintaining the cleanliness of these facilities. To address this, a QR-based monitoring system has been implemented to survey cleanliness. If any toilet is reported to be dirty through a special app, it will be cleaned within minutes.

A jet spray cleaning system has been introduced to ensure that manual cleaning is not required, providing faster and more efficient sanitation. Additionally, a cesspool operation plan has been put in place to manage the emptying of septic tanks.

Through these efforts, the Maha Kumbh 2025 is not only a spiritual event but also a model of cleanliness and efficiency, ensuring that every devotee has a safe and pleasant experience.
