Madhya Pradesh: Five Killed, Three Injured In Chitrakoot

At least five people were killed, three severely injured when a speeding dumper rammed into an autorickshaw. The incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh’s Chitrakoot on Tuesday morning.

The tempo, carrying passengers, was en route to Chitrakoot for sightseeing when the accident took place.

As per the police officials, the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.

Additional SP Chakrapadi Tripathi said, “The incident took place near Jhansi Mirzapur National Highway. A speeding dumper collided with an auto-rickshaw. Five persons, who were travelling in the three-wheeler, died on the spot.”

“The condition of another three injured is said to be critical. They have been referred to a hospital in Prayagraj for further treatment.”

The police further stated that the mortal remains of the victims were kept in the mortuary for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Earlier on Monday, two people were killed with two severely injured after a truck rammed into a kiosk and electricity transformer. The incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district.
