Lucknow Airport Launches Udan Yatri Cafe, Enhancing Affordable Passenger Services

A significant step towards improving passenger convenience has been taken at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu virtually inaugurated the Udan Yatri Cafe on Sunday.

Located in the check-in hall of Terminal 3, the café will offer snacks and beverages starting at just Rs 10. The initiative is part of the government’s UDAN Scheme, which seeks to make air travel more accessible and affordable for the general public.

Addressing the inauguration, Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu described the café as a major step towards enhancing the travel experience. He emphasised that the availability of water, beverages, snacks and sweets at economical prices would provide relief to passengers and make flying more affordable.

An airport spokesperson also termed the initiative a key improvement in passenger services, stating that travellers will now have access to quality food at reasonable prices within the airport premises.

Airport Operations and Management

Lucknow International Airport Limited (LIAL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Airport Holdings Limited, manages the operations and development of the airport.

LIAL signed a 50-year concession agreement with the Airports Authority of India and has been overseeing commercial operations since 2 November 2020.

The airport offers a range of modern facilities designed to ensure a seamless travel experience. These include Digi Yatra, e-gates, 2D scanners, self-baggage drop systems, automatic tray retrieval, and FASTag-based payment solutions.

With the launch of the Udan Yatri Café, Lucknow Airport has taken another step forward in delivering affordable and enhanced services. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to improve infrastructure and passenger satisfaction while promoting accessible air travel across India.
