Lok Sabha Election 2024: Opposition Left in the Dust as PM Modi’s Campaign Roars Ahead in Final 10 Days

With less than 10 days remaining until the first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha Elections-2024, a noticeable disparity has emerged between the BJP-led NDA and the opposition regarding the tempo of the election campaign, with Prime Minister Modi taking center stage.

Shashi Shekhar, co-founder of ‘DeepTech for India’ and author of ‘Collective Spirit, Concrete Action’, affiliated with Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, suggests that the fervor with which Prime Minister Modi is pursuing his third term in office can be discerned from his recent daily engagements.

Over the past 10 days, PM Modi has conducted more than 20 rallies and road shows, engaging extensively with regional media through interviews spanning from the North-East to the far South. Notably, he granted interviews to publications such as Amar Ujala in Uttarakhand, Thanthi in Tamil Nadu, and Assam Tribune in the North-east, showcasing a broad spectrum of outreach.

Furthermore, his global outreach through platforms like Newsweek, coupled with discussions with prominent figures such as Bill Gates, has outlined a vision of technology-driven sustainable development. An additional innovative approach involves engaging with gamers, marking a novel strategy to connect with voters.

In stark contrast, the opposition appears to be lamenting the perceived lack of a “level playing field,” which underscores their lackluster campaign with minimal intensity even before the commencement of the 2024 Lok Sabha contest. This sentiment has been expressed as akin to “dropping out” of the race.

The biased portrayal by certain media outlets adds to the confusion surrounding their reporting on the matter.

Shashi Shekhar took to X.Com to highlight Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent interview with Newsweek. He noted that Newsweek stands out as the first global publication to conduct a comprehensive interview with Prime Minister Modi during this election season, highlighting the apparent disorientation among major global media outlets due to their biased reporting.
