Since its foundation, Uttarakhand has witnessed remarkable development, with the state economy taking a giant leap forward. Over the past 24 years, the size of Uttarakhand’s economy has grown 24 times, while the per capita income has increased 17 times. This growth underscores the rapid pace of development in the state.
Despite numerous challenges in its two-decade journey, Uttarakhand has consistently pushed forward. The resilience of its people, often referred to as “mountain-like courage,” has ensured that the momentum of progress remains steady. Today, the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) continues to improve, reflecting Uttarakhand’s prosperity and the determination of its citizens.
This silver jubilee year not only celebrates past achievements but also highlights the vision for a prosperous and self-reliant Uttarakhand in the years ahead.
