Khavda Renewable Energy Park Gets Dedicated PIN Code And India Post Office

The Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat’s Kutch region now has its own PIN code, 370246, and a dedicated India Post office.

The Renewable Energy Park, Khavda Post Office will offer Speed Post, parcel booking and delivery, Post Office Savings Bank products and India Post Payments Bank services, including Aadhaar-enabled digital banking.

The new facility addresses the needs of a site that has grown from a sparsely populated area into a major renewable energy centre, with a rising workforce, residential townships and supporting infrastructure.

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) and other developers are building the renewable energy park. AGEL’s plant covers about 538 square kilometres.

According to the release, Adani has already commissioned more than 10 GW of renewable energy capacity at Khavda, while AGEL aims to reach 30 GW by 2029.

The development has brought roads, drainage systems, desalination and reverse osmosis facilities for water supply, as well as more than 200 km of optical fibre connectivity developed by AGEL.

Around 15,000 workers and staff live at the Adani Green Energy site, where healthcare, retail, recreation and banking facilities support the community.

Previously, residents and businesses relied on a post office about 70 km away and the Kuran Branch Post Office. As more people began living and working at Khavda, the area needed a local postal service.

The new PIN code gives the renewable energy park a distinct postal address and links it directly to India Post’s delivery network.

It is also expected to support access to banking, insurance, logistics and e-commerce services by establishing a unique geographic identity for the growing hub.

The dedicated postal service reflects Khavda’s continuing transformation as infrastructure and economic activity expand across the region.
