The Jammu and Kashmir Police have released sketches of four terrorists involved in two recent attacks in the Doda district, accompanied by an announcement of a substantial reward for information leading to their capture.
The police have offered a reward of Rs 20 lakh, with Rs 5 lakh designated for information about each terrorist.
This follows a series of violent incidents in the region, escalating the urgency for public assistance.
On Wednesday at approximately 1:45 AM, terrorists launched an attack on a joint ‘Naka’ (checkpost) of the 4 Rashtriya Rifles and local police at Chattergalla in the Bhaderwah area.
The assailants opened fire, causing a significant security breach and prompting an intensive search operation.
In another incident in the Gandoh area, terrorists ambushed a search party.
This attack resulted in injuries to 7 security personnel, including a policeman, adding to the growing concern over terrorist activities in the district.
A police spokesman revealed that sketches of the four terrorists have been released as part of the intensified efforts to apprehend those responsible.
“We believe these terrorists are hiding in the upper reaches of Bhaderwah, Thathri, and Gandoh,” the spokesman stated.
Meanwhile, he announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh for information about each of the terrorists. He urged people to provide any tangible information regarding their whereabouts and activities.
On Tuesday, police released a sketch of a terrorist involved in the attack on a passenger bus in Reasi district. They also announced a Rs 20 lakh reward for information about him.
