Jitendra Mishra To Take Full Charge As Ram Temple CEO In Ayodhya

Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra will take full charge of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust’s operations in Ayodhya, marking a major change in the administration of the Ram Temple.

The Trust appointed Mishra as its first Chief Executive Officer after reviewing 5,585 applications and conducting several rounds of screening, online interactions and face-to-face interviews. The selection committee shortlisted three candidates before choosing Mishra for the post.

A former head of the Indian Air Force’s Western Air Command, Mishra will oversee the Trust’s administrative functioning and key operations at the temple complex. He has said that his immediate priority is to understand the organisation’s existing systems and functioning before introducing any changes.

His appointment comes amid concerns over alleged irregularities involving devotees’ offerings at the temple. The Trust had formed a search committee in July to select a CEO and strengthen administrative supervision and operational management.

Mishra will oversee the temple’s daily administration, facilities, security coordination and other operations. His presence in Ayodhya will help him monitor activities closely and coordinate quickly with officials.

The Ram Temple draws large numbers of devotees from India and abroad, making efficient administration and security essential.

The Trust has also appointed new trustees, naming Swami Govind Dev Giri as general secretary and Mahesh Bhagchandka as treasurer.

Mishra will review the existing administrative systems and strengthen oversight as the temple’s operations expand. The Trust will announce further changes as he takes charge.
