Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Expresses Deep Anguish Over Brutal Attack On Gaza Hospital And Continued Violence

18 Oct, New Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has condemned the attack by Israel on a Gaza hospital that killed around one thousand people many of them women and children.
In a statement to the media, the President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Syed Sadatullah Husaini said, “We condemn and express utmost disgust at the heinous bombardment of Al-Ahli Hospital in Central Gaza. Around 1000 are reported to be died in the precincts of the hospital which was full of women and children. The hospital was facing an evacuation order from the Israeli military.

Jamaat terms this as a massacre and a crime against humanity. Israeli occupying forces are continuously targeting schools and hospitals in clear violation of all war laws and basic human values. The powerful countries and international bodies who remain silent spectators cannot absolve themselves from the heinous war crimes. They have the blood of the innocent men, women, and children of Palestine on their hands.

The JIH President demanded, “We demand the implementation of an immediate ceasefire in the region and swift condemnation of the deliberate bombing of civilian areas of Gaza. Israeli actions should not go unpunished and its political and military leadership must be actively hunted by the UN and the international community to face trial in the International Court of Justice for the various war crimes they have committed in the recent part. Humanity is on trial. If we fail the Palestinians and do not stop the current carnage, history may never forgive us.”
