This news story is truly inspirational. A woman writes her board exam only hours after giving birth to a baby boy in Bihar.
The new mom is a young lady who is now talk of the town in Banka city of Bihar when people came to know about her. She wrote her Class 10 board exam only after few hours of giving birth to her baby boy a couple of days ago. The lady was studying at a government school who chose not to quit her studies after getting married last year.
The challenge was to overcome the spasms of labor and the willpower of the new mom was too firm and her resolve could not be shaken by her physical condition. The young lady of Bihar was not physically well that’s why she had to turn up in an ambulance to write her exam. The class tenth board exam paper was scheduled on the same day when she gave birth to a child in the hospital.
The heroine of this true story is Rukmini Kumari who is just twenty two years old. Rukmini studies at a government school in Bihar’s Banka district. Now everyone in the district knows her by name since Wednesday when in the morning she delivered the baby and after three hours she wrote her Science paper. She refused to take rest as advised by family members and doctors.
District Education Officer, Pawan Kumar says, “The incident clearly proves that the govt push on women education has found great resonance. Rukmini, who hails from Scheduled Castes, has become an inspiration for everyone.”

Rukmini Kumari explains it saying, “I was having some discomfort since Tuesday after writing my Maths paper. I was awaiting the Science paper with excitement which was scheduled the next day. But, in the same evening I had to rush to the hospital and the next morning at 6 am, my son was born.”
