India on Thursday described the arrest of six Ukrainian nationals as a legal matter under investigation.
The Ministry of External Affairs stated that competent government agencies are examining the case.
Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal confirmed that India has received a request for consular access from the Ukrainian Embassy and will process it in accordance with legal provisions.
Authorities have charged one American and six Ukrainian nationals under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

The Embassy also called for transparency, due process, and protection of detainees’ rights under international law. It reiterated that Ukraine seeks to strengthen trust and security ties with India.
Indian authorities maintained that all procedures will follow established legal norms. The case continues to evolve under judicial scrutiny.
