Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a historic decision in India’s fight against terrorism.
“For the first time in 70 years, India has shown a firm, uncompromising stance to eliminate threats,” he told a gathering in Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh.
Dhankhar said Operation Sindoor was a decisive response to the Pahalgam attack. It demonstrated India’s power and resolve to the world.
“The nation will no longer tolerate terrorism,” he said.
A wave of patriotism is sweeping across the country, he added. “People are united in the defence of national security.”
Referring to India’s strong message to Pakistan, he said, “Blood and water will never flow together.”
This reflects the country’s democratic resolve, he said, urging all citizens to stand behind PM Modi’s call — that national interest comes before everything else.
Dhankhar praised the Indian military’s accurate strikes across the border. “The wounded testify to the truth. No further proof is needed,” he said.
He said the spirit of unyielding patriotism marks a great victory.
The Vice President further noted, “India stands proud, fearless, and strong.”
Dhankhar said India is on its way to becoming the world’s third-largest superpower. He called agriculture the foundation of the country’s prosperity.
The Vice President said India has become the fourth-largest economy, overtaking Japan, due to a decade of bold reforms and growth.
Dhankhar urged farmers to embrace entrepreneurship and innovation.
“They must know both farming and commerce,” he said.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar pointed out that in the US, farm incomes are higher than regular households. “We must follow that path,” he said.
Additionally, he called on MPs and MLAs to pledge support for building agro-industrial villages.
“When farmers lead as entrepreneurs, India’s future will bloom from its fields,” the Vice President noted.
