Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on a two-day visit to Gujarat, said Operation Sindoor was not just a military strike but a reflection of Indian values. He addressed a public rally in Dahod on Monday.
PM Modi praised the Indian armed forces for their swift and strong response.
The Prime Minister said, “If anyone dares to wipe off the sindoor of our sisters, their end is certain. That’s why Operation Sindoor is not just a military operation but a reflection of our values and emotions.”
Referring to the 22 April Pahalgam attack, PM Modi said terrorists had challenged all 140 crore Indians.
The Prime Minister added, “Can India remain silent after Pahalgam? Can Modi remain silent?” The crowd responded with loud cheers.
PM Modi said the government gave full freedom to the armed forces. Indian soldiers identified and destroyed nine major terror camps across the border within 22 minutes on the night of 6–7 May.
“When the Pakistani Army tried to retaliate, our forces crushed them too,” he added.
This was PM Modi’s first visit to Gujarat after the Indian military action under Operation Sindoor.
Prime Minister Modi slammed Pakistan for its post-Partition hostility.
“Since 1947, Pakistan’s only goal has been to hate India and stop its progress,” he said. “But India’s goal is to move forward, end poverty, and build a Viksit Bharat.”
The PM said a strong India must have both a strong army and a strong economy. “We are working with full dedication in that direction,” PM Modi said.
A day earlier, in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio address, PM Modi said Operation Sindoor showed the face of a changing India.
He further praised the Indian military’s precision and the use of ‘Made in India’ equipment to destroy terror bases.
