As 28 non-BJP parties will hold a formal meeting at Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt Hotel on Friday, the opposition’s Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, or I.N.D.I.A., is expected to announce the formation of a coordination committee made up of 11 members who would represent the major opposition parties and reveal a logo for the coalition.
The opposition parties decided to move forward with their plans to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections during their informal meeting on Thursday. Some of the top leaders emphasized the need to come up with a joint agenda and finalize seat distribution in the next few weeks.
1. Despite rumors to the contrary, the I.N.D.I.A. block is expected to reveal its new logo on Friday at 10.30 a.m.
2. On Thursday, the opposition leaders discussed the plan for the meeting on Friday, which would start at 11 a.m. and culminate with a joint statement and press conference.
3. According to some sources, since the heads of the major parties each have their own spokespersons, the parties might choose a group of individuals to speak on behalf of the alliance.
