Union HM Amit Shah chaired a high-level meeting on Tuesday. In the meeting, he reviewed the progress of various developmental projects in Jammu and Kashmir.
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, CM Omar Abdullah, Chief Secretary Atul Dulloo, and senior officials attended the meeting.
Before the meeting, Amit Shah held a one-on-one discussion with CM Omar Abdullah on regional development and security.
Amit Shah will also hold another meeting to assess the overall security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting will include Lt Governor Sinha, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, IB Director Tapan Deka, and senior officials from J&K Police, CAPFs, BSF, CRPF, and intelligence agencies.
On his social media platform X, Shah announced that three more organizations had left the separatist Hurriyat Conference and pledged their allegiance to the Constitution of India, signaling growing support for the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Naya Kashmir’, where violence and hatred have no place.
Amit Shah visited the family of J&K Police Dy SP Humayun Bhat, who was killed in 2003, during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
After arriving on Monday, Shah visited the Humhama area near Srinagar International Airport and met the family of the fallen officer.
The Home Minister spent 20 minutes with Ghulam Hassan Bhat, offered condolences to Fatima, and blessed their 20-month-old child.
BJP and RSS members held a closed-door meeting with Amit Shah. The meeting will take place at the Jammu residence of Sunil Sharma, LoP in the J&K Assembly.
On Monday, Amit Shah visited a BSF border outpost in Kathua and praised the Border Security Force (BSF) for its role as an elite border sentinel force.
He emphasized the nation’s high respect for the BSF’s round-the-clock dedication in extreme weather conditions.
