“Have You Lost Your Mind?” – Judge’s Harsh Remark, Offended SHO Pleads For Action

A judge of the Karkardooma court remarked to an SHO in a packed court that “have you lost your mind”. When SHO objected to this statement, MM said “You have come after watching the film”. Hurt by the incident, the SHO has requested action against the judge.

Speaking in a loud voice during proceedings is often displeasing to the courts, but it is also a fact that harsh comments are not avoided by the government representatives present during the hearing in the lower courts. In one such case, the Shakarpur police station has accused the Metropolitan Magistrate of the Karkardooma District Court of commenting on him in a crowded court saying, “Have you lost your mind”. Angered by the attitude of the court, the police station chief registered this incident in the diary and complained about it to the top officers.

Why matter is important

On Thursday, before the Chief Justice’s bench, senior advocate and Supreme Court Bar Association President Vikas Singh demanded to hear the case related to the lawyers’ chamber soon. During this, the Chief Justice asked him to go out of his court raising questions about his speaking in a loud voice. This incident remained in the news headlines on Friday.

what was the matter

In fact, in one case, the legal cell of the police had advised SHO Shakarpur to appear before the Karkardooma district court. In this case, the Deputy Commissioner of Police instructed him that a competent investigation officer should be appointed to the matter. Due to this, the investigating officer SI Ramesh Kumar appeared in the court on February 24, then MM said that the SHO should be presented in the court. However, the court did not give any notice, etc. of his appearance.

Told  SHO the mind is bad!

According to the complaint made in this regard by the ACP, after receiving the information, SHO Sanjay Gupta reached the court, during the investigation of the case, the Metropolitan Magistrate got upset after seeing the statement given by the SHO and said “YOU HAVE LOST YOUR MIND”. SHO objected to this and said that he should not make wrong comments about them. If the court has found something wrong, then write it in its order.

Have you come to see the movie?

Hurt by the court’s remarks, the SHO alleges that when he protested, the judge told him that “you have come after watching the film”. The SHO again objected and said that if the court wants, legal action can be taken against him, but do not make such comments. After which, MM threw him out of the court.

Call for action

Angered by the behavior of the court, the SHO reached the police station and recorded the entire incident in the diary. Giving information about the incident to the ACP along with a copy of the incident, giving information about the incident in the High Court, has also pleaded for action against the accused Metropolitan Magistrate.
