Hanuman Ansh Screening: Scientist Neeta Meets CMD Upendrra Rai, Shares Vision For Integrated Healthcare

A scientist named Neeta was among those present at a special screening of Hanuman Ansh, where she met Bharat Express Chairman, Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief Upendrra Rai.

During the event, Neeta touched CMD Upendrra Rai’s feet as an expression of affection and emotion, and praised his contribution to the film.

Following the screening, Neeta described the experience as an important learning moment and said she and her friends had decided to work towards initiatives that could benefit society.

Who Is Neeta?

Neeta is an MBBS and MD doctor specialising in cancer and is currently a senior medical research scientist at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) headquarters in Delhi. She has previously worked at Batra Hospital Cancer Centre, Lady Hardinge Medical College and AIIMS.

Over 23 years at ICMR, Neeta has published 90 research papers and handled Make in India innovation and translation-related work involving 8,000 projects. She has contributed to around 1,000 research papers and 70 patents through more than 800 funded health research projects.

Neeta’s initiatives include work associated with India’s first indigenous glucometer, individual health IDs and doorstep delivery models for field validation.

Neeta is a government-certified yoga instructor and an Art of Living coordinator involved in slum de-addiction, jail rehabilitation, skill training and job placement initiatives. She volunteers in zero-budget farming, urban farming, waste management and environmental cleaning activities conducted by government and private organisations. She has volunteered with NGOs for free medical camps and health-awareness programmes during weekends.

Neeta said she and her friends have decided to promote integrated health by combining allopathic, Ayurvedic, homoeopathic, naturopathy, yoga, meditation, Panchakarma, spinal therapy, Rakhehno therapy, Murma, CST and osteopathy, among other non-pharmacological and non-medical interventions. She shared a recent research paper involving a Stage 4 cancer patient who, according to her, has maintained a disease-free quality of life into the sixth year through integrated management.
