Gyanvapi Case Update: Gyanvapi Masjid has caught hold of the headlines from past many days due to the Hindu-Muslim dispute going over the same. Gyanvapi was originally a temple but a mosque was built over it by Islamic invaders. Now the two communities are standing against each other over the rights over structure of this mosque. Recently, the court again gave the right to Hindus to worship in the basement of Gyanvapi complex, after which now another ASI survey is being demanded.
Rakhi Singh, a plaintiff from the Hindu side, filed a petition in the court of the District Judge of Varanasi on Monday, demanding another ASI survey in the Gyanvapi complex. The court has accepted Rakhi Singh’s petition and it will be heard tomorrow. In the petition, Rakhi Singh has mentioned two basements in the Gyanvapi complex and has demanded an ASI survey of them. In the petition filed, it has been stated that both these basements are completely covered with stones. The truth behind these stone walls should come out. For this, an application has been filed in the court of District Judge of Varanasi for ASI survey.
In the petition filed in the court of the District Judge, a demand has been made to open the secret cellars of Gyanvapi and survey it from the ASI. This petition has been filed in the court on behalf of Rakhi Singh, founder member of Vishwa Vedic Sanatan Sangh. This petition will be heard in the court of District Judge Varanasi on Tuesday.
Hindu side’s lawyer Saurabh Tiwari told that there are total 8 basements in Gyanvapi. Out of which ASI has surveyed 6 basements. A petition has been filed for survey of the remaining two basements also. A map of the basements has also been included in this petition. It is being told that both these cellars are completely filled with stones. What is there in these basements should also be revealed, for this an appeal has been made in the District Judge’s court for a survey.
