The CBI recorded the statement of more than half a dozen persons who were directly or indirectly connected in the above said case.

It may be recalled  Circle Officer  Kunda Zia-ul-Haq was murdered on March 2, 2013 in Balipur of Hathigwan in Pratapgarh.

After ten years and six months, CBI again reached Pratapgarh  for re investigation. After meeting the top officials, CBI reached the police station, then went to the village and saw the incident site and took information from the people.

Earlier, CBI had filed the final report not accepting the role of Raja Bhaiya. This was not accepted by the court. The High Court had stayed the court’s decision. When the CO’s wife reached the Supreme Court, the High Court order was stayed. After this, CBI was again instructed to start investigating the role of Raja Bhaiya.

Supreme Court had given this order on the petition of CO’s wife It is noteworthy that after village head Nanhe Yadav, his brother Suresh Yadav was also murdered at Balipur intersection. After this, the then DSP Zia-ul-Haq, who reached the spot late in the night, was also killed.

CO’s wife Parveen Azad named Kunda MLA and then SP government minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh Raja Bhaiya, MLC Akshay Pratap Singh and others as accused. But in its investigation, CBI had filed a closure report in the case, declaring Raja Bhaiya and other close ones as innocent.

On Parveen’s petition, the Supreme Court had ordered the CBI to re-investigate. On this, a five-member CBI team reached Hathigwan and in the late evening reached Prayagraj as CBI will be making their office in Prayagraj and will operate  from here  . After giving information at the police station, CBI people went to Balipur and saw the incident site.
