Indian Airforce’s Tejas aircraft crashed near a student hostel in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, It was reportedly taking a training sortie when it crashed.
This is the first incidence of an indigenous jet crash since it flew 23 years ago in 2001.
A probe has been ordered into the incident, and the pilot safely ejected according to the sources.

Air Force posted on X – earlier known as Twitter. “One Tejas aircraft of the Indian Air Force met with an accident at Jaisalmer, today during an operational training sortie. The pilot ejected safely. A Court of Inquiry has been constituted to determine the cause of the accident.”
