Rookie woman driver plunges to death with car in Maha valley while shooting reel
Near the Sulibhanjan Dattadham Temple in Sambhaji Nagar, located 340.3 kilometers from Mumbai, a tragic incident claimed the life of a young woman during a car filming session for a social media reel. The accident occurred today’s afternoon, June 17, around 2 pm.
The victim, identified as 23-year-old Shweta Deepak Surwase from Hanuman Nagar, Sambhaji Nagar, was accompanied by her friend Shivraj Sanjay Mule, 25, at the time. They had traveled to the area with the intention of capturing footage for a social media reel.
During an attempt to reverse the vehicle, an unexpected incident occurred. The car slipped, causing unintended pressure on the accelerator, resulting in it overturning and plunging into the valley below. Shweta tragically succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Following the accident, the Khultabad Police initiated an investigation at the location and called upon the relatives of both the deceased and her friend for further inquiries.
In a separate incident in Mumbai, tragedy struck on Sunday when a speeding chemical tanker collided with a scooter on the National Park Bridge of Mumbai’s Western Express Highway, claiming the lives of two individuals. The tanker driver has been apprehended by Kasturba Marg Police on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
The collision occurred when the tanker rear-ended a Suzuki Burgman scooter on the southbound side of the National Park Bridge in Borivali (East) on Sunday afternoon. The victims, close friends from Bhayander East, were on their way to purchase clothing for a friend when the accident occurred, resulting in severe head injuries for both.
