Dr Rajeshwar Singh Outlines Vision For Lucknow Golf Club At PGTI NextGen 2025

The greens of Lucknow Golf Club came alive with the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie as the PGTI NextGen Golf Tournament 2025 concluded successfully.

Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh, a proud member of the club since 2007, attended the prize distribution ceremony with his elder brother Shri Rameshwar Singh and congratulated all the winners of this prestigious event.

Applauding Organisers and Their Efforts

Dr Singh praised the organisers for their dedication, giving special mention to Shri Subhash Chandra (IPS, Retd), recalling their days of service together in the Uttar Pradesh Police.

He also applauded Captain RS Nanda, Secretary Rajneesh Sethi, Joint Secretary cum Treasurer Sanjeev Agarwal, and PGTI CEO Amandeep Johl for their vision and commitment.

He emphasised that such tournaments enrich socio-cultural exchanges while contributing to India’s growing sports economy, projected to expand from $52 billion to $130 billion by 2030.

Sharing his roadmap for the club’s future, Dr Singh called for the creation of a ₹100 crore Sports Promotion Corpus to elevate Lucknow Golf Club into one of the finest in India.

He urged for greater sponsorships, expanded membership, and structured youth coaching to nurture future champions from Lucknow.

Highlighting the deeper meaning of golf, Dr Singh described it as a ‘game of hope’. He noted that each swing represents a new beginning and teaches patience, mindfulness, and resilience.

He remarked, “In golf, you cannot change the last swing or predict the next one; you can only focus on the shot in front of you. This lesson of staying present is vital for success in today’s life.”

Preserving Lucknow Golf Club’s Legacy

Reflecting on the club’s glorious tradition, Dr Singh acknowledged its legacy of inspiring sportsmanship in the state capital.

He stated, “Since becoming a member in 2007, I have always wished the best for this prestigious institution. I hope it continues to scale greater heights and host remarkable events.”

Concluding his address, Dr Singh expressed gratitude to the organisers for their vision, sponsors for their support, and players for their enthusiasm. He voiced confidence that Lucknow will continue to host events that inspire the youth and strengthen India’s sporting legacy.
